ILLUSTRATION

Whenever I can, I love to incorporate illustration into projects to make them feel lively. These are some of my favorite illustrations in my repertoire.

BOLD COLOR

In this section you can find 4 color-ways done for a set of stickers for Columbus band, The Space Pandas, as well as an austronaut badge and a chicken which all utilize a bold sense of color, a trait commonly found in my work.

GRAPHIC

These illustrations were heavily influenced by graphic novels and comic books, a style I have been exploring more closely as of late. Don’t skip out on a process video for my “Resurrection” illustration, done for Illustrated Tapes, a project combining playlists and illustrations that compliment each other to convey a theme. Curated and organized by Sam Ailey.

LINE BY LINE BY LINE BY LINE…

This series of illustrations was originally inspired by an illustration book from the 60’s. This style evolved from using line strokes to illustrate the background to using vertical lines to color the illustration. This was a series in which the method dictated the aesthetic.

BLACK AND WHITE AND IN BETWEEN

My work tends to be drowsed in color, but I work with clients to meet their needs. Here is a commisioned forearm tattoo design based on a low-resolution image the client wanted to reference employing lots of gradual shading to create a realistic approximation. Make sure to watch the process video!
